For whoever just bought this

Five things to change before you publish.

This is a template. Everything in it is real HTML and real copy, which means it looks finished before you have touched it — and that is exactly the trap. Work through the five below and the site becomes yours instead of a demonstration.

01

Replace every photograph

The images are Unsplash placeholders. They carry the Unsplash licence, which is generous, but they are not your work and a photography site running someone else’s pictures is the fastest way to lose a client.

Every photograph sits in an image control on a Card, Plate, Converge or Reel component. Select the frame, drop your file in, and write real alt text while you are there.

02

Rewrite the copy, including the numbers

Every section carries specifics — twelve seconds at f/8, four commissions a year, edition of twelve, £320. Those are load-bearing: they are what makes the site read as a practice rather than a layout.

Change them to your real numbers. A specific that is wrong is worse than no specific at all.

03

Fix the legal pages

Privacy and Terms are written to describe a studio that takes no data and sells prints in editions of twelve. If you collect anything, sell anything differently, or trade anywhere other than England and Wales, both pages need rewriting.

Have someone qualified read them before you publish. A template cannot give you legal advice and this one is not trying to.

04

Point everything at you

The email address, the studio address, the opening hours and the wordmark appear in the masthead, the footer, and the call at the end of every page. Search for hello@halide.studio and Sheffield and replace both everywhere.

Then set your own site title, description, favicon and social image in Site Settings.

05

Keep the motion honest

Photographs develop when they enter frame, sections unmask in nineteen different ways, and the last three sections converge in 3D. All of it is scroll or in-view driven, and all of it respects reduced-motion.

If you add more, add it to one section, not to all of them. The reason this page reads as considered is that most of it is quiet.

Then — 002

Ship it

Publish, then look at it on a phone.

Ask about any of it

Every section has a narrow layout that was built and checked separately. If you restructure a row on desktop, open the narrow breakpoint and check the same row before you publish.
